(SZIP) Professional Information Portal

Already in the first few years of NDI's life (since 2001) emerged that one of the most important tasks toward efficient handling of drug problem is to develop the toolkit and possibilities of dialogs in this field. Therefore our Institute created a complex, interactive database which helps us to publish reliable information about prevention programmes, treatment and rehabilitation provider organizations and the mostly social science based drug problem related researches. This database is interactive, therefore also up to date. Registered users task is to constantly upload and update information and professional programme of the represented organization. Therefore – contrary to paper version databases – SZIP provides opportunity for visitors of the website to see always the most current situation and information related to the field. A validation system in the process also helps to keep information up to date reminding the registered users regularly to update their uploaded data.

Website visitors can search in database in different ways: according to location, name of the programme or name of the organization. Beside you can find Hungarian and international up to date news and electronic library (with related professional documents , reports, legal regulations, protocols and guidelines , books and reviews – some of them can be downloaded –, external links , educational facilities) on the website. Visitors can also use the library database of our Institute.

Registered users can also get information about professionals working on the field, current tenders and job advertisements (job market), and through regular newsletters they are informed about current tender information, other professional news.

We hope that on development of SZIP later we can join to the international professional database (EDDRA) and we can work out the accreditation criteria of prevention programmes.
