Abstract |
Public policy debates about illicit drug use seemed to get pointless in 2005 in Hungary. Tense confrontation between forbidding and tolerance attitudes endangers developing long term strategies and rational dialogues in society. In these times scientific displays are immediate but more and more difficult. On international level we can observe changes leading dialogues about drug phenomena into new directionsin the past years. These efforts try to approach drug problem through analysis of effects in social medium. Works from the French philosopher, Michael Foucault get significant attention. The book aims to give examples and approaches for successful adaptation of Foucault perspectives in the field of illicit drug use. The task is so novel that there is no thematic assemblage even in international literature. Assays by Hungarian and foreign authors and also one of Foucault's lectures about drug history can be found in the issue. |
