Abstract |
Peer and companion help workers are very efficient to reach certain risk groups, in relation between these groups and health providers in case they have got proper training and supervision or case management/counseling. Programmes including peers or companions are very rare in Hungary, although qualified peers could help a lot to make interventions more efficient. One of the meanings of empowerment is how can we involve risk groups in work of helper organizations. The book is presentation of our attempts made on the subject in the last 20 years. |
